PRN: Unity Govt candidate is the best choice for the Selangor electorate – Bung Moktar

GOMBAK: Selangor voters should reject Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidates as one of their leaders are said to be trying to belittle and even insult Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

In making the call, Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman, Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin said this was a big reason why voters should reject them because they are seen as being too arrogant to the extent of insulting the Sultan of Selangor in a series of talks that were recently held by Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor.

He stated that PN should respect the royal institutions by not touching on the issue in question in their ceramah series scenes.

“We leave it to the police to conduct an investigation into this case. What is important is that the people or voters in the Gombak Setia state seat can judge the candidates they like.

“The Gombak Setia state assembly area is represented by Datuk Wira Megat Zulkarnian Omardin, while in the Sungai Tua is represented by Selangor Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari of PKR, he said.

He said this while campaigning at the Taman Selaseh Voting District Center (PDM), here last night.

Bung Moktar, who is also Sabah UMNO Liaison Committee Chairman, said opposition candidates also played up the issue that the government at the state and federal levels would likely change after the state elections.

“This is proof of another big lie by them deliberately misleading the public when speaking without solid evidence.

“Therefore, we still have the remaining campaign period in this PRN to ensure that the Unity Government machinery achieves a big victory on the night of August 12,” said Bung Moktar.
