LDP, PHRS are now GRS component parties

KOTA KINABALU: Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah (PHRS) are now part of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), said GRS secretary-general Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.
Masidi said the GRS Supreme Council in a meeting this afternoon had unanimously approved the application of the two local parties to join the coalition.
“GRS now has seven members,” he said in a brief statement here on Wednesday.
Besides LDP and PHRS, other GRS component parties are Party Gagasan Rakyat (PGRS), Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR), Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP), and United Sabah National Organisation (USNO).
LDP was formed in 1989 and is currently led by its president Datuk Chin Su Phin a former Senator (2011-2014) and it’s former president Tan Sri Chong Kah Kiat was the 13th Sabah Chief Minister.
PHRS on the other hand was formed in 2016 and currently led by its president Tan Sri Liew Yun Fah, a former Sabah Youth and Sports Minister (2014).
