KOTA KINABALU: Datuk Zaid Ibrahim has offered to contest one of the 25 seats in the UMNO’s supreme council.
The former law minister confirmed his intention in a tweet today.
“Tomorrow, I will submit my application form to contest for an Umno Supreme Council seat,” he said.
Zaid, who was ousted from Umno in 2008, rejoined the party last year with goals of reforming the party “from within”.
The Supreme Council elections will be held on March 18.
