Its President, Tan Sri T.C Goh also said Huazong fully supports Anwar’s move to form a unity government, which is much aligned with Anwar’s favourite mantra of ‘we are all family’, all these years.

Goh said, he was hopeful that following Anwar being successfully sworn-in as the 10th PM of Malaysia, at the Istana Negara, today, Malaysians of all races would strive to work together, to ensure a more stable and progressive Malaysia.

In a statement issued today, Goh also underscored that both the government and the opposition must strive to work in the best interests of the nation and the people.

On behalf of Huazong, he also expressed his utmost gratitude to Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, and all the Malay Rulers, for their concerns and efforts in resolving the stalemate between the two competing political forces. Goh described the latest outcome as the best scenario under the constitutional elective monarchy system adopted by Malaysia.

Goh, who is also President of The Federation of Chinese Associations Sabah (FCAS) also hoped Anwar’s soon-to-be-formed cabinet lineup besides appointing those policymakers who are truly qualified and fit for the job, would also be more inclusive of all races, in order to better reflect a multiracial Malaysia.

He went on to reiterate that, with the country currently on the way of economic recovery after having gone through the devastation of the Covid-19 pandemic, in the last three years, it has now become even more urgent that political parties and politicians from both sides of the divide must set aside their differences, so that the new government could formulate new and dynamic policies to steer the nation ahead, in the right direction.

“The new government should be moderate in governing the country, and to unite Malaysians of all races to ensure political stability, so that we can all live in peace and harmony, as ‘one family’!” he said.

He also called on the people, the Chinese community and organizations included, to give their full support and cooperation to the new government to make Malaysia great again.
