KOTA KINABALU Sepanggar PKR Chief Peto Galim has expressed his willingness to run for a parlimentaey seat in the upcoming 15th General Election (GE15).
However, he said he will leave it to the party’s leadership to decide on the matter.
“As a team player, I am ready to contest in Sepanggar if PKR nominates me…I will leave it to the party’s leadership to decide,” he said.
Peto responded to speculation that he is likely to be a candidate of Pakatan Harapan (PH) for Sepanggar in the upcoming EU15.
The Inanam state assemblyman is optimistic that whoever represents PH has the mathematical chance of winning the mixed seat.
Meanwhile, incumbent Sepanggar MP Datuk Azis Jamman will likely defend the parliamentary seat he won in the last general election.
Barisan Nasional (BN) and Bersatu (GRS) are expected to field candidates for Sepanggar.
