In his message in conjunction with the 1st anniversary of the GRS Government, the former Sabah Chief Minister said GRS should continue to fight for Sabah’s own direction, interest and future.

“I take this opportunity to remind myself and my colleagues that we must continue to improve ourselves and be free to fight for Sabah’s own direction, interest and future within the context of the Federation of Malaysia,” he said in his latest Facebook posting.

Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor was recently quoted as saying that the state government is seriously fighting for the rights of the state as contained in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 or MA63.

Hajiji said, although many changes and developments have been achieved during the 58 years of the formation of Malaysia, there was still much to be done.

GRS is an electoral alliance in Sabah established by the then Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin in September 2020 to contest the 2020 Sabah state election.

The alliance consists of Muhyiddin’s Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition, Barisan Nasional (BN), and Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS)

During the 2020 Sabah election held on 26 September, the GRS coalition won a simple majority in the Sabah State Legislative Assembly, and later gained support from all elected independent members of the assembly

The main components of GRS include BERSATU-Sabah, BN-Sabah, PBS, STAR and SAPP.
