KOTA KINABALU: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Backbencher Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak has urged the Federal Government to focus attention to vaccinate Sabahans “so that we can achieve herd immunity by October 2021”.
“It’s been too long for Sabah….has been left with the lowest vaccination rate in Malaysia with a total registration of 990,681 (35.9%) and total vaccinated Dos 1 of 475,084 (12.2%),” he said in his latest Facebook posting.
He said the government must quadruple its efforts and energy to speed up the vaccination rate “at east a minimum target of 50,000 doses per day”.
In this respect, the former Sabah Chief Minister said the federal government should adopt the various methods and strategies that has been successful.
“Time to sacrifice and save Sabah. May everyone have a blessed Eid al-adha,” he said.
