KOTA KINABALU: City Hall mayor, Noorliza Alip said that restaurant operators here can now offer dine-ins.
She said that restaurants will not be penalised for allowing dine-ins and that they are to adopt the previous dine-in standard operating procedure (SOP) since there are no SOPs in place that is endorsed by the National Security Council (NSC).
The Sandakan municipal council has also earlier issued an announcement to allow dine-ins at eateries in the district.
On June 28, the Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor announced that dine-ins at eateries were allowed.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob however iterated the next day that Sabah cannot have her own SOP while other states followed the SOP set by the NSC.
