KOTA KINABALU: Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, Dr Roland Chia has called upon residents at Kampung Warisan near here to update their details for the effective distribution of the food baskets.
Dr Roland said that the details given to the Village Development and Security Committee (JPKK) chief should also include the number of households that are staying in each house so that proper distribution of food baskets can be effectively given to the affected families.
“One house could easily consist of four to five families,” said Dr Roland in his statement after visiting the frontliner posts of Kampung Warisan and Taman Puri Warisan in Darau which have been placed under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).
He added that the City Hall and its team were distributing the food baskets and wanted to ensure that the aids reached the targeted families.
He also visited the Dewan Balairaya Kampung Warisan where polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests were being carried out.
He commended the effort by the Sabah Health Department to ensure all the villagers underwent the PCR testing.
