PENAMPANG: The police here successfully recaptured three out of four convicts who escaped from the quarantine centre of Institut Latihan Mahkamah Anak Negeri (ILMAN), here early today.
Penampang Chief of Police, DSP Mohd Haris Ibrahim said that the district police headquarters’ crime investigation division successfully caught the three escapees who were wearing t-shirts and pants at Lorong Wijaya 1, Taman Wijaya, Menggatal, Kota Kinabalu at about 5.45pm.
In a statement issued, he said that the success was due to the cooperation between the division, the team from Kota Kinabalu police headquarters and Menggatal police station.
He said that the convicts who were recaptured were Mohd Diyazmir Razif Rudyaz, 20, Salman Arip, 19 and Ar8ippian Abdul, 24.
One of the escapees, Mohd Rahman Basir, 24, remains missing.
