KOTA BELUD:Virtual education or digital education is the right and significant choice to ensure efficiency in the process of teaching and learning (PdP) especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Former Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak said that the new approach was implemented following the Covid-19 pandemic which has resulted in the lockdown and Movement Control Order (MCO) carried out in Malaysia as a step towards addressing the spread of the disease.
“This has caused the Teaching and Learning process to be altered to something that is not new but is seen as the apt choice for the moment, which is online learning.
“I, myself, have conducted online meetings,” he said.
Salleh who is also the State Assembly member for Usukan said this in his speech at the launch of the 2021 SPM Candidate Academic Improvement programme for Mukim Kulambai, SMK Usukan near here today which was held virtually.
Also present was SMK Usukan principal, Johari Hajat.
Salleh hoped that the programme achieves its aim to improve the academic performance of SPM students and objectives that must be achieved.
Among the objectives of the programme is to raise the performance of students in the SPM 2021 examination, as well as motivate and strengthen them while also provide class facilities using the “Google Meet” application.
