Yet as leader of the Sabah People’s Gagasan Party (PGRS) and a key figure in the ruling coalition within Tambunan, this duty comes with his role.
For Dato’ Victor P. Paut, the position is more than just a title—it represents a clear mandate to shape a better future, advance progress, and uplift the community’s welfare.
He frequently expresses his vision of a stronger, more prosperous district for generations to come, with special emphasis on empowering youth, who he sees as crucial to the nation’s future.
That’s why Victor has launched various reforms, initiatives, and programs aimed at strengthening local systems, responding to public needs, and advancing education—efforts rooted in long-term impact rather than short-lived political gains, as some critics suggest.
Week after week, people notice his packed schedule—ranging from meetings with the Sawit Kinabalu Group and Borneo Samudera Sdn Bhd to regular participation in community initiatives designed to tackle local challenges, support residents, and improve public facilities, often continuing late into the night or on weekends.
Transforming Tambunan into a new, improved version of itself is no quick undertaking. It demands persistence, bold decision-making, and the readiness to endure criticism and accusations—all in service of ensuring that proposed changes genuinely serve the public good.
He has consistently stated that personal gain, recognition, or praise are not his motivations.
To him, real achievement lies in seeing people’s lives improve through the programs and community efforts introduced before and since his involvement.
This commitment is why the DVPP 2026–2030 village tour will press on, even when certain decisions face initial resistance or opposition from those unsettled by change.

Tackling cronyism is essential to ensure that the GRS Government’s efforts to position Tambunan as a competitive district, boost the local economy, and expand employment opportunities remain on track.

All of this is pursued with the aim of realizing a renewed vision for Tambunan as swiftly as possible, provided the community continues to support and engage with the current state leadership.
It is understood that no policy or objective is perfect from the outset—there will always be room for refinement and differing viewpoints within the population.

Creating a transformed Tambunan is a long-term endeavor that demands sustained commitment and collective backing, especially since the timeline runs up to 2030—leaving just four years ahead.
