KUNDASANG: The Crown Prince of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, along with his entourage, reached the summit of Mount Kinabalu at 8:45 AM this morning.
Julaimin Kamin, the Assistant Manager of the Sabah Parks Rescue and Crisis Unit, stated that His Highness began the ascent from Panalaban at 3:07 AM and arrived at the Sayat-Sayat checkpoint at 5:05 AM.
He noted that the weather conditions during the climb were excellent, with temperatures around 9 degrees Celsius, and the journey was safe and smooth.
“Tengku Hassanal and his group spent nearly an hour at the summit before descending back to Panalaban at 9:30 AM,” he told Bernama.
The three-day Borneo Crown Expedition, led by Tengku Hassanal, concluded today.
