KOTA KINABALU: Liane Melve Grace Lias has been officially named the Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan (UNK) for Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu 2026 during an event that took place at a shopping centre here on Sunday.
This achievement enables Liane to represent Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu in the state-level Unduk Ngadau competition, which will be held at the Hongkod Koisaan Hall in Penampang on May 31.
Liane received a cash prize of RM12,000, along with a crown, sash, trophy, and a bouquet of flowers.
Joining Liane at the state level will be Joyce Nia David, who is set to represent Tanjung Aru, and Felecity Chen Sing Yee, who will represent KDCA Bandaraya.
Joyce was awarded a cash prize of RM10,000, along with a crown, sash, trophy, and a bouquet of flowers.
On the other hand, Felecity received RM8,000 in cash, along with a crown, a sash, a trophy, and a bouquet of flowers.
All prizes were presented by Datin Seri Adreen Aderizza, the wife of the mayor of Kota Kinabalu.
