KOTA MARUDU: Continuous heavy rain has caused several areas in this district to be flooded, affecting residents in Kampung Beliajung.
As a result of this situation, those affected have been moved to the Temporary Evacuation Centre (PPS) at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Tandek 2 to ensure their safety.
The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) Kota Marudu has also been deployed to several flood ‘hotspots’ to monitor water levels and the current situation.
Rescue operations are still actively ongoing to ensure that all residents in the affected areas are safe.
