KOTA KINABALU: Federal allocations to Sabah are separate from the 40% revenue entitlement that Sabah is entitled to under Article 112C, said former state assemblyman Datuk James Ligunjang.
He said it is important not to confuse these two distinct concepts.
“The federal allocations to Sabah are determined by the agreements outlined in the Federal List, State List, and the Concurrent List, which specify the responsibilities and financial responsibilities of both the Federal Government and the State Government.
“The 40% revenue entitlement, as stipulated in Article 112C, is a separate and independent entitlement specific to Sabah’s revenue share,” he said in his latest social media post.
According to Ligunjang, a qualified lawyer irrespective of the contributions by the federal government under the Federal List and the Concurrent List, these do not affect or alter Sabah’s right to the 40% revenue share under Article 112C.
