PAPAR: Fourteen finalists of the Miss Cultural International 2025 were impressed by Benoni New Township developed by the WSG Group after visiting the Benoni Show Gallery here yesterday (Wednesday).

The finalists, who hail from Malaysia, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar and Inner Mongolia, China, were briefed on the developments at Parklane City, followed by visits to Goodcoco Cafe, U-Tea and 10Star Cinemas.

The beauty pageant is organized by Kimora Entertainment Network with the aim to promote cultural exchange among Asian countries. The grand finale will be held at Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) on November 8.

WSG Group director Melissa Wong said the finalists’ visit to Sabah will give the local tourism a boost.

She also called on the finalists to consider investing in residential properties in Sabah under the Sabah My Second Home (Sabah MM2H) program. “I wish the contestants all the best in the grand finale,” she said.

One of the contestants, Hannah Tu, 23, confessed that it was her first time to Malaysia and she was excited to experience the diversity of the local communities.

The Taiwanese lass, who is currently pursuing her master’s degree in human resources, was surprised to learn that Sabah offers not only nature, but also modern developments that are on par with Taiwan.
Hannah reveals that she views WSG Group managing director, Datuk Susan Wong Siew Guen, and her daughter, Melissa, as her role models as both are successful entrepreneurs.

“I feel that they are outspoken individuals who lead and dictate market trends, yet they remain grounded and amicable.

“I hope to emulate their entrepreneurial spirit.”
Hannah also hopes to return to Malaysia for business or vacation purposes in the future, and to enjoy the local cuisines and visit more places.

On Sabah-MM2H, Hannah said she would consider investing a residential property under the scheme.

WSG Group is one of the sponsors of Miss Cultural International 2025. Also present were WSG Group director Datuk Wong Ten An and Kimora Entertainment Network chief executive officer, Ken Wong.

The finalists later visited Borneo Cultural Village and Imago shopping mall yesterday. They will visit the islands and Cocoa Kingdom today, followed by a welcoming dinner hosted by Sabah Tourism Board at Sutera Harbor Resort.
