The water issue – a top priority for PRN17; UMNO Putatan is determined to solve people’s problems – Jeffery Nor

PUTATAN: Putatan UMNO assures that the long-standing water issue will be a top priority in the Barisan Nasional (BN) manifesto ahead of the 17th Sabah State Election (PRN).

Jeffery Nor Mohamed, the Putatan UMNO Chief, stated that the water problem is not just a basic issue but has become a daily burden affecting people’s lives and local economic growth.

“People have been patient with the water issue for too long. This isn’t a new problem, and it’s high time we resolve it thoroughly, not just make temporary promises,” he said here on Monday.

According to Jeffery, Putatan UMNO is developing a comprehensive solution plan to improve the water supply system, which includes consulting experienced professionals, repairing old pipes, and building new channels to meet the growing needs of the residents.

He said that this plan will also be supported by strategic cooperation between state and federal government agencies to ensure that every project is completed on schedule and directly benefits the people.

“UMNO Putatan is committed to ensuring that every promise made has a realistic and actionable plan, in line with BN’s commitment to advocate for the welfare of the people.

“We want the people to know that the water issue will be prioritised immediately if the mandate is given back to BN,” he emphasised.

He further stated that solving the water issue is part of Putatan BN’s approach to restore public confidence in the party’s ability to govern effectively and stably.

“People judge based on records and real capabilities. We don’t want to make empty promises; we want to present clear and effective solutions.

“Putatan UMNO will continue to engage with the public to hear their grievances and ensure their basic needs are addressed first,” he said.
