Where did the Kuamut KDM coordinator obtain the figure that 2,500 KDM members have joined GRS? – Willie Jude

KOTA KINABALU: The Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) has refuted claims that 2,500 of its members in Kuamut have joined the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS).

Its Secretary-General, Willie Jude, said that the alleged 2,500 members do not exist, as the appointed coordinator had never submitted membership forms to the KDM headquarters.

“These 2,500 members are purely fictitious. Whenever the coordinator for the Kuamut constituency holds an event, he never uses the party’s logo.

“This is what happens when politics becomes a means of making a living; they claim there are 2,500 members when, in reality, there are none. It’s simply a fabrication that lacks any basis,” he said in a statement today.

He was responding to a viral video suggesting that the KDM Kinabatangan Division Chief and Kuamut coordinator, Laising Podok, had joined GRS along with 2,500 of their members on Saturday.

Additionally, Willie noted that the actions of the party’s chief coordinator in Kuamut joining GRS would not impact KDM.

In fact, he expressed gratitude that the ‘virus’ of that party had exited before it could spread ahead of the 17th State Election (PRN17).

“Brother Laising has been under our observation due to numerous complaints we received about him from the grassroots, and it has proven to be true.

“What has happened is in the past; what matters is that KDM Kinabatangan remains focused as we approach PRN17,” he said.
