KIULU: The Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu City recently organised a Free Medical Camp in collaboration with the Tuaran District Health Office, held at SK Malangang Baru in Kiulu, Tuaran.
The camp offered a range of services including general health check-ups, eye examinations with assistance for glasses, gynecological services, dental care, breast examination talks, and pharmacy services.
Additional activities included free haircuts, children’s games, food basket assistance for the elderly, persons with disabilities, and the sick, as well as the distribution of used goods.
This initiative benefited residents from six nearby villages surrounding SK Malangang Baru, Kiulu, Tuaran.
The headmaster of SK Malangang Baru, Gundohing John Wayne Linggang, stated that such CSR programs are highly beneficial to the local community, promoting a healthy and prosperous society while alleviating some burdens for those in need.
He also expressed gratitude to the Lions Club of KK City, the Tuaran Health Office, and all those involved in making the medical camp a success.
Earlier, Datin Shirley Chew, representing the Lions Club of KK City, thanked SK Malangang Baru, Tuaran for hosting the medical camp.
