LAHAD DATU: Maxim E-hailing took the initiative to conduct a day program of road safety in Sabah located at Sekolah Saudara Borneo. It was conducted at a charity school for children and involved students from standard 1 until standard 6.
The program involved a team of police officers together with the Maxim team and delivered the talk session about road safety, sharing tips, signboard information, and experience with incidents. It is one of the highlights of the program because the impact may also save someone’s life in the future when the children learn and acknowledge the situation on the road while implementing the knowledge shared.
It runs from 7:00 AM until 12:00 noon and includes several activities, including speeches, games, coloring contests, talk sessions, road board games, traffic regulation quizzes, and many more.
“Sharing the knowledge with the young generation and educating them at an early age is very important, they can learn and implement the situation during their daily routine. From the session, several numbers of students are walking to go to school, and road safety programs can help them. It’s a great opportunity for us to join the program and be able to share the knowledge,”said Sjn Mohd Yusrie b Saludon, Police Traffic from Head Quarter Lahad Datu.
“We are proud to have hosted a special event in celebration of Children’s Day, bringing joy and smiles to the young ones in our community. This occasion allowed us to give back and create a memorable experience for children and their families. It reflects our commitment to community engagement and fostering happiness beyond our e-hailing services,” said Mohd Hazwan Musley, Director of Maxim Malaysia.
In total, more than 100 children got the opportunity to feel the joyful and happy vibe of this specialization date for them.
“As the Principal, I feel very excited and honored to be able to run the International Children’s Day celebration program with Maxim in collaboration with the Traffic Police. Pupils were exposed to road safety awareness among children through interesting activities including talks by local Traffic Officers on road safety measures,” said Jumraizah Binti Gubail, the principal of Sekolah Saudara Borneo.
Moreover, Maxim prepared gifts for each of them. The presents were composed based on the requests from the management of the school and included food, stationery kits, books, and safety equipment.
The happiness and success of young generations are really important, they are the shape of the future. Maxim hopes that by conducting this program can share new knowledge and exposure for them.
