KOTA KINABALU: The newly launched ‘Lead With Life’ Health and Blood Donation Program, spearheaded by PGRS and chaired by Dr. Davina Datuk Markus Majihi of the Health Bureau of the Gagasan Rakyat Women’s Exco, witnessed remarkable participation from first-time blood donors.
Registrations from first-time donors surpassed the initial goal by 108%.
Despite facing some challenges, 68% of those registered successfully completed their blood donations held at the SICC recently.
Dr. Davina expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who played a role in the program’s success.
“We are profoundly moved by the overwhelming support, particularly from the youth and the women volunteers who made a significant impact as first-time donors.
“This initiative highlights the strength of our community, and we are immensely thankful,” she said in a statement today.
Reflecting on the event, Dr. Davina noted several areas for enhancement, including the need to bolster pre-donation guidelines and preparation for new donors.
“Every campaign provides us with invaluable insights, and we are dedicated to refining this process to ensure the program operates smoothly in the future,” she said.
Dr. Davina’s commitment to fostering a culture of blood donation within the community remains unwavering.
She underscored the urgent need for more donors and urged everyone to continue their support for future campaigns and initiatives.
