KUALA LUMPUR: Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Datuk Ewon Benedick witnessed the handing over of a replica tax payment check amounting to RM55,223,461.56 from the Malaysian Cooperative Commission (SKM) to the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) at the Parliament Building, here today.
The tax payment involves four SKM funds, including the Cooperative Education Trust Fund, the Cooperative Development Trust Fund, the Central Liquidity Fund and the Central Cooperative Fund.
This payment is a responsibility of SKM as a government body that implements tax payments to the government.
Also present at this event were the Chairman of SKM, Lieutenant General Datuk Ahmad Norihan Jalal (retired), the Director of the Federal Territory LHDNM, Dato’ Azhar Husin, the Executive Director of SKM, Datuk Rusli Jaafar, and the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Taxation Operations) of LHDN, Shaharuddy Othman.
