KOTA KINABALU: Parents are advised to monitor their children more closely, especially when they go out to play during the hot season.
In making the call, Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Women leader Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun said it was important to prevent unwanted things from happening to children during this hot and hazy time.
“We hope that parents will keep an eye on their children as the weather has been hot and humid lately,” she said.
She told reporters this during her Open House in Likas, near here on Wednesday.
Azizah also advised parents not to let their children play in the hot sun for long periods of time, lest undesirable things happen to them.
“Reduce outdoor activities involving our children and make sure they drink plenty of water throughout this summer and haze,” she stressed.
