Kitingan who is also the Agriculture and Fisheries Minister was joined by his ministry’s permanent secretary Datuk Mariana Tinggal and the Sabah Attorney General Datuk Nor Asiah Mohd Yusof.

During the two-hour meeting, the discussion focused mainly on the topic of restoring to Sabah and Sarawak 35% of the total Malaysian 222 parliamentary seats.

Kitingan said that this could limit Malaya’s ability to achieve a two-thirds majority in parliament hence, guaranteeing the constitutional rights of the Borneo States in the future.
