KUCHING: The Election Commission (EC) has set 12 December as polling day for Sarawak’s 13th State Election.
EC chairman Datuk Seri Ramlan Harun said nomination day will be held on 28 November, while early voting is scheduled for 8 December.
He said the campaign period for the state election will last 14 days.
Ramlan announced the dates at a press conference after chairing a special EC meeting in Kuching today to discuss arrangements and key dates for the Sarawak election.
The announcement gives political parties and prospective candidates the go-ahead to prepare for the state election.
