KOTA KINABALU — Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri (Anak Negeri) stands firmly behind Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor as he leads crucial Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) negotiations alongside Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The September 11, 2026, Malaysia Agreement 1963 Implementation Action Council (MTPMA63) meeting is a critical juncture in Sabah’s modern history to demand definitive solutions to unfulfilled promises—particularly the 40 per cent net revenue entitlement and long-overdue regional rights.
Anak Negeri views this meeting as the ultimate platform for Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and the ruling Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) government to secure a lasting legacy as genuine champions of Sabah’s interests.
While the Chief Minister’s measured and moderate demeanour is sometimes misconstrued, Anak Negeri recognises it as a deep, steady resolve to fight for the state. In a political landscape often driven by fiery rhetoric, his calm persistence and mature diplomacy are far more effective in compelling Putrajaya without triggering counterproductive tensions.
His track record speaks for itself. Past milestones achieved under the current federal administration, alongside securing a substantial share of oil and gas revenue from Petronas for state coffers, demonstrate that his strategic diplomatic approach bears fruit.
Although Anak Negeri has offered criticism in the past, the Chief Minister’s unwavering commitment to placing Sabah’s 40 per cent revenue-sharing claim at the forefront of negotiations proves his priorities remain anchored squarely in the financial rights of the people.
