KENINGAU: The Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) remains dedicated to delivering progress to all citizens of Sabah, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or background.
Strong support from the people can provide political stability, which in turn ensures the prosperity of the state.
Dato’ Victor Peter Paut, the head of the PGRS Tambunan division, stated that when the state’s politics are stable, development can continue, the economy can be strengthened, and the welfare of the people can receive the necessary attention.
Victor, who also serves as the Deputy Chairman of Sawit Kinabalu Group and Borneo Samudera Sdn Bhd, urged all residents of Kampung Sunsuron to stand firm with the GRS Government.
“We do not want politics that divides society.
We seek politics that unites the people, advocates for the interests of the village, creates job opportunities for the youth, and ensures that development reaches the grassroots,” he said during the launch of the Gotong Royong Perdana Program in Kg Sunsuron, Tambunan, on Saturday.
According to Victor, maintaining the unity that has been built over time must be further strengthened for the well-being of the people and the state.
“Do not be easily swayed by slander, incitement, or false news.
Instead, evaluate matters based on facts, the results of work, and the achievements that have been delivered to the people.
“I am confident that with the strong support of all the people of Tambunan, especially the residents of Kampung Sunsuron, we can ensure that the development agenda planned by the GRS Government will continue to benefit both today’s generation and future generations,” he further explained.
What is most important, Victor emphasized, is that everyone must possess the spirit to keep moving forward and never underestimate a small village’s potential for growth.
Many villages in Sabah have transformed due to the determination of their residents, he said.
