Led by ASTAKA President Datuk Hj. Roslie Hj. Ibrahim, the session covered several key matters concerning the growth and future of sepaktakraw in the state.
A primary focus was the upcoming 42nd President’s Cup Sepaktakraw Championship, set for three days beginning September 25 in Tawau.

Competitions will be held in four categories: Men’s Team, Women’s Team, Men’s Quadrant, and Women’s Quadrant.
He added that the tournament not only helps uncover emerging talent but also promotes unity and sportsmanship within Sabah’s sepaktakraw circles.
Datuk Hj. Roslie Hj. Ibrahim, who also serves as Vice President of the Malaysian Sepaktakraw Association (PSM), called for full collaboration among member bodies, organizing teams, government agencies, and partners to ensure the event’s success.
He stressed the championship’s role in identifying skilled players from across Sabah who could represent the state in the future, while reinforcing solidarity and a shared sense of purpose in the sport.
In addition, the President revealed during the meeting that ASTAKA has secured approval to build the ASTAKA Sabah Sepaktakraw Academy Hall, which will serve as a key facility for advancing the sport in the region.
