Dusunik Language Preservation Association of Sabah Pays a Courtesy Visit to TYT
KOTA KINABALU: The Dusunic Language Preservation Association of Sabah (KBDS) held a courtesy call on the Governor of Sabah, Tun Musa Aman, at the Istana Negeri, near here today.
The delegation, consisting of eight members of the KBDS supreme council, was led by President Datuk Lawrence Gimbang.
Also present were KBDS Secretary General Petrus Guriting, Assistant Secretary General Noemi Justin, Assistant Treasurer General Dato’ Webley Disim and several Ordinary Committee Members including Dr. Linah Bagu @ Siti Nurlina Abdullah, Sitiamah Hj. Sahat and Soguli Olid as well as Constantine Anthony.
Speaking to reporters later, Gimbang said that during the visit, he provided an overview of the establishment of the Dusunic Language Preservation Association of Sabah, particularly its vision and mission, as well as details of various programmes that have been planned for implementation.
KBDS was officially registered in early 2022. The establishment of the association was motivated by the awareness to preserve and revitalise the Dusunic ethnic mother tongue from extinction.
