TAWAU: The body of a 29-year-old woman with disabilities, who had been missing since last Sunday, was discovered yesterday in a fish pond along Jalan Sin Onn Tiku, near here.
Tawau’s District Police Chief, ACP Jasmin Hussin, said authorities were alerted to the discovery at 9:05 AM, leading to an immediate response from police personnel.
According to preliminary findings, there were no visible injuries or evidence suggesting criminal involvement.
Her family had reported her missing after she left their residence and failed to return.
The incident is currently being treated as an unexplained death, pending the outcome of further laboratory analysis.
