Ministry investigates bright object seen in Sabah’s night sky

KOTA KINABALU: The Malaysian Space Agency (BPAngkasa) has acknowledged reports of a luminous phenomenon observed in the skies over Sabah on Thursday evening, according to an FMT report.

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation stated that BPAngkasa is closely tracking the incident in coordination with pertinent agencies, citing Bernama.

It added that there have been no confirmed reports indicating the presence of fallen rocket debris from space at this time. 

The public is warned not to approach or handle any unusual objects that may be found.

Individuals who come across such items are encouraged to notify authorities immediately by dialing 999 or reaching out directly to BPAngkasa via phone at 03-8885 8685 or email at bpadg@mosti.gov.my.
