LAHAD DATU: A man received a cumulative prison sentence of 165 years after pleading guilty to 11 charges of raping his two daughters from 2016 to 2026.
The accused made this confession before Sessions Court Judge Suhailla Selag at the Lahad Datu Court today.
The court imposed a sentence of 15 years in prison and 10 strokes of the cane for each charge, ordering that all prison terms be served consecutively.
This ruling results in a total prison sentence of 165 years for the accused.
According to the case facts, both victims, now aged 25 and 22, were forced to engage in sexual acts with the accused, who is their biological father.
The first victim is believed to have been abused since she was 15 years old, while her younger sister was victimised starting at the age of 18.
The offences reportedly occurred over a period of approximately 10 years, from 2016 to 2026.
The case was handled by Deputy Public Prosecutor Muhammad Shahril Haja Mohaideen, while the investigation was conducted by Inspector Malati Labpak.
The court imposed this severe sentence, considering the gravity of the crime as well as serving as a lesson to both the accused and society.
