Sole representative of the KDM party Datuk Rusdin takes his oath as the Assemblyman for Paginatan

KOTA KINABALU: Datuk Rusdin bin Riman, the only representative of the Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM), who won the State Election (PRN) for the Paginatan constituency, took his oath as a Member of the State Legislative Assembly (ADUN) during the Sabah State Assembly session here today.

At the age of 64, Rusdin won the Paginatan seat in the state election on November 29 and took his oath before the Speaker of the Sabah State Leguslative Assembly, Datuk Seri Kadzim M. Yahya, at the State Assembly Building.

He was among the 73 newly elected assemblymen, who took their oaths, preceded by the assemblyman for Sulaman, who is also the Chief Minister of Sabah, Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

The recent state election saw Rusdin winning with a majority of 736 votes in a contest involving 10 candidates.

In a social media post immediately after the oath-taking ceremony, Rusdin expressed his gratitude to the people of Paginatan for their trust and the mandate given to him.

“I am grateful to Allah, today I have completed my oath as the Member of the State Assembly for N.38 Paginatan.

“I will strive to work diligently, with full integrity and responsibility, for the development and well-being of us all,” said Rusdin, who is also a former Permanent Secretary of the Sabah Ministry of Finance.
