Ewon confident KKIP continues contributing to the development of the people of Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: The Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Transport, Datuk Ewon Benedick, is very confident that the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP) will keep contributing to the development of the people of Sabah.

He said that this includes income generation as well as strengthening the investment and entrepreneurship ecosystem in the state,” he said.

Ewon also expressed hope that the Sabah First team at KKIP will continue to be empowered to ensure more efficient and quality service delivery to all stakeholders, including local and international investors.

The newly appointed minister made these remarks during a recent visit to KKIP in Sepanggar.

During the visit, he received a detailed briefing from KKIP’s Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Lawrence Kimkuan, regarding the existing initiatives being implemented and the strategic development plans for KKIP in the medium and long term.

In addition to exploring various current projects, Ewon also shared insights and directions for several new initiatives that KKIP could explore to strengthen the role of the industrial park as a driver of the state’s economy.

The visit reflects the government’s commitment to empowering the industrial sector as one of the main pillars of economic growth in Sabah and creating job opportunities for the people.
