KOTA BELUD: UMNO is actively implementing various initiatives to bolster support at the grassroots level, in line with its goal of ensuring the party remains relevant and connected to the people.
Putatan UMNO Chief, Jeffery Nor Mohamed, stated that enhancing connections with the local community is a priority to ensure that the voices of the people are heard and considered in every party planning.
He mentioned that the Community Feast event in Kampung Nanamun, Kota Belud, held recently with the Sabah UMNO Chief, Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, exemplifies the friendly approach towards the public that the party practices.
“Events like this are not just ordinary feasts, but an important platform for us to engage with the people, listen to their voices, and strengthen support at the grassroots level,” he said.
Jeffery noted that Datuk Seri Bung Moktar’s presence at the event clearly demonstrates the concern of UMNO Sabah’s leadership for the people and the spirit to continue strengthening the party’s struggle at all levels.
“This grassroots approach shows that UMNO and Barisan Nasional (BN) are always close to the community, regardless of time and place. We want the people to feel that UMNO is always with them,” he said.
Prior to this, Jeffery Nor also visited Pulau Gaya to meet with the Chief of UMNO PDM Pulau Gaya.
He stated that the visit provided an opportunity to discuss strategies for the party’s operations and efforts to further strengthen the organizational structure in the area.
