Almudin Kaida remains undaunted in facing experienced candidates in Pintasan

KOTA BELUD: The prospective candidate presented by the Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM), Datuk Almudin Kaida, for the Sabah State Election, has expressed that he is not intimidated by the competition, including those with more experience.

The local son, who is contesting for the Pintasan State Constituency, is expected to compete against USNO president Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia, who has already declared his intention to run in that constituency.

In addition to KDM and GRS, the coalition of BN, Warisan, STAR, and Independents are also anticipated to field their candidates for the Pintasan seat, which has a majority of Iranun voters.

A random survey in the area indicates that support for KDM is on the rise and has the potential to create a surprise.

According to the residents of Pintasan, Almudin is not a stranger and has a deep understanding of the culture, customs, and aspirations of the Kota Belud community.

He is also well-known for his approachable demeanor and consistently engages with the public to hear their issues firsthand.

Meanwhile, Almudin is a proponent of inclusive development, ensuring that no one is left behind.

Sharing his development agenda and vision for the Pintasan DUN if given the mandate, Almudin stated that one of the priorities he plans to implement is to enhance infrastructure and basic facilities.

“We are committed to improving the clean water supply system and ensuring stable electricity access to all villages.

“We are also advocating for the repair and maintenance of roads and bridges to facilitate movement and economic activities,” he said.

Almudin also highlighted that attention will be given to economic development, agriculture, education, youth development, health facilities, and welfare.

In the 2020 Sabah State Election, Pintasan was won by Datuk Fairuz Renddan, who contested under the Perikatan Nasional (PN) banner, with a majority of 84 votes.
