KOTA KINABALU: BMU White lived up to the expectations by winning the BMU 2025 Closed 4-Corner Futsal League held here recently.
The BMU Yellow team secured the runner-up title, while BMU Red took third place.
The fourth position went to the BMU Black team.
The tournament also saw Musli bin Lumin emerge as the top scorer, and Alfreldent Michael was awarded the best goalkeeper.
The matches were expertly officiated by Marcellinus Petrus and Mr Paul Majanggim.
Meanwhile, BMU President Mr Ninewjo Newmond expressed gratitude to all teams and players for their high sportsmanship and cooperation throughout the tournament.
“Thank you all for your commitment and professionalism, and we hope to host this event annually.
“If all goes well, we will hold the second series of the closed BMU futsal league at the end of this year in conjunction with the BMU family day,” he said.
Also present were Deputy President Mr Rayner Silak, Vice President Mr Raynold Senuil, Secretary Ms Molina Makapin, and Treasurer Mr Marius Simbi.
