KOTA KINABALU: Since the GRS took over from the Warisan-led State Government, Sabah has experienced a remarkable transformation in its economic landscape, driven by prudent fiscal policies, strong leadership, and political stability under the visionary guidance of Chief Minister Hajiji Mohd Noor.
The State Reserve Growth has witnessed unprecedented expansion, increasing from RM 3.59 billion in 2020 to RM 4.2 billion in 2021.
Building on this solid foundation, the GRS administration’s disciplined fiscal management propelled the Reserve Growth to an impressive RM 7.5 billion in 2023. Last year, in 2024, Sabah achieved an all-time high in revenue, reaching RM 8.6 billion — a milestone never before accomplished by any previous government.
This remarkable progress is a testament to the GRS government’s unwavering commitment to good governance, financial prudence, and strategic economic planning.
Under the steadfast leadership of Chief Minister Hajiji Mohd Noor, Sabah has transformed its economic trajectory, creating new opportunities for its people and fostering a climate of stability and growth.
Looking ahead to 2025, the state is on track to further expand its revenue stream, projected to reach between RM 9.5 billion and RM 10 billion — a significant leap from the RM 3.59 billion recorded in 2020 under the Warisan administration.
This extraordinary achievement further underscores the effectiveness of GRS’s leadership and its unwavering dedication to building a brighter, more prosperous future for Sabah.
The GRS government, under Hajiji Hj Noor’s leadership, has not only revitalised Sabah’s economy but has also laid a strong foundation for sustainable development, attracting investments and enhancing the well-being of its citizens.
