KOTA KINABALU: The people of Sabah do not want political drama anymore, said former Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Kerusk.
Instead, Salleh said they want stability, honest leadership, and a team that knows how to work together to solve real problems.
“In Sabah’s politics today, too many are busy pointing fingers — questioning who should work with whom or who used to be with whom.
“But the more important question is often ignored: where are we headed? he said in a recent Facebook post.
Salleh said history has shown that division only leads to weakness.
“Policies are abandoned, development stalls, and in the end, it’s the people who suffer.
“Political coalitions are not a weakness. When built on shared goals, responsibility, and sincerity, they become a strength that can bring real change.
“We don’t need to think the same to stand united. What matters is a common purpose, mutual respect, and the willingness to put aside egos for the people’s good,” he added.
Salleh, who is the Usukan assemblyman, said, “The real question we must ask ourselves is this: are we truly fighting for the people of Sabah — or just racing to win for ourselves?”
