KKJA appreciates Eliza Goh’s contribution in sponsoring education awards for children of association members

KOTA KINABALU: A total of 23 students comprising children of members of the Kota Kinabalu Journalist Association (KKJA) received education awards from the association.

The awards was fully sponsored by prominent women entrepreneur Datuk Eliza Goh.

She was also present and presented the awards in conjunction with the KKJA 2025 annual general meeting, at the Putera Ballfroom, Bukit Padang, near here on May 1.

The recipients consisted of five ku-kurikulum students, kindergarten (2), primary school (7), secondary school (3), diploma (3), degree (2) and master’s degree (1).

KKJA chairman Jimmy Goh, who was also present at the ceremony, expressed his appreciation to Eliza Goh for her contribution in fully sponsoring education awards for children of association members.

“We are very appreciative of Datuk Eliza Goh for her generosity in fully sponsoring this award,” said Jimmy.

Eliza Goh has long been a distinguished figure in Kota Kinabalu’s entrepreneurial landscape.

As a business leader with keen acumen and a generous heart, Eliza, the founder and owner of Zara’s Boutique Hotel, has made significant contributions to both commerce and society, earning widespread admiration.

Her remarkable achievements were recently recognised at the State-level International Women’s Day 2025 celebration, where she was among six outstanding Sabah women honoured with the “Outstanding Women Entrepreneur Award”, organised by the United Sabah Chinese Communities Association of Kota Kinabalu (USCCAKK).
