LAHAD DATU: Kim Teck Cheong Consolidated Berhad (KTC) Executive Director Datuk Dexter Lau today announced a donation of RM10,000 to the Kwan Tee Temple in Lahad Datu, in conjunction with its 2025 Iftar Tour.
The 2025 Iftar Tour is sponsored by KTC in partnership with UPPM Sabah.
Speaking to reporters during the KTC and UPPM Iftar Event at the Dewan Perdana Lahad Datu, Datuk Dexter said he had made new friends and learnt about local NGOs during this tour.
He declared, “Regardless of race or religion, I will not hesitate to make a donation when asked.”
He said that this contribution is extremely significant because PPM Segama, Datuk Mizma Appehdullah, took the initiative to connect him with regional NGOs, which made this contribution possible.
“This month of Ramadan is a time to do good, help each other, and strengthen relationships among all parties regardless of ethnic and religious backgrounds,” Datuk Dexter said, adding that he was pleased to see the harmony among the communities.
The President of the Tiong-Hua Lahad Datu Chamber of Commerce and the President of the Hokkien Association Lahad Datu, Tan Cheng Teng, also expressed gratitude to Datuk Dexter Lau.
