KOTA KINABALU: Priscella Peter, tasked with the responsibilities of the President of the Democratic Community Welfare Party (KDM), is confident that her party will secure a position in the government following the upcoming state election (PRN)
“As we approach PRN17, our goal is to bring about change and renewal for this state. We are committed to the welfare of the people of Sabah, and I firmly believe we can achieve this. KDM will undoubtedly be part of the government after the election,” she stated.
Priscella mentioned that she will collaborate closely with another Deputy President, Datuk Wetrom Bahanda, to further strengthen the party.
She acknowledged that while she has taken on the role of president in place of her father,
Wetrom also plays a significant role within KDM. She emphasized that the experience and extensive capabilities of the Member of Parliament for Kota Marudu will be invaluable to the party, especially in preparation for the upcoming 17th State Election (PRN17).
This is also why Wetrom was previously appointed as the Director of KDM’s Election Machinery.
“What matters is that Wetrom and I, along with other party leaders, will work together not just as a team but as a family.
“Taking on the role of president is a significant responsibility, but I am confident that with the spirit of family and unity within KDM’s leadership, we can face any challenges and create a surprise in PRN17.
“I hope all divisions will accept this decision, as what the leadership has planned is in the best interest of the party and not for personal gain,” she added.
