KTC Spreads Raya Joy to Disadvantaged Children with Shopping Experience

KUDAT: Kim Teck Cheong Consolidated Berhad (KTC), in partnership with the Sabah State Community Development Leaders Unit (UPPM), has initiated the “Shopping Raya” program as part of the 2025 Iftar Tour, commencing in Kudat.

This afternoon, 50 children enjoyed a shopping spree for Raya attire in Kudat Town, each receiving RM200 to purchase clothing and footwear for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Ultimately, 850 children throughout Sabah will benefit from this initiative. KTC Executive Director, Datuk Dexter Lau, emphasised that this program reflects the company’s ongoing dedication to assisting those in need.

He expressed his hope that this initiative would bring happiness to the children and alleviate some of the financial pressures their families face in preparing for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

The event was also graced by ADUN Tanjong Kapor YB Datuk Ben Chong and his wife, Sabah UPPM Director Datuk Awang Kadin, Chief of Women’s Movement PGRS Darau Datuk Aziah Atoh, along with various community leaders, local government officials, and representatives from KTC and UPPM.
