Masiung urged to lodge a police report if the allegations made by a “whistleblower” perceived to sabotage the GRS government—Jeffery Nor

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah UMNO has called on the assemblyman for Kuamut to take action against the “whistleblower” if there is confidence that the circulated corruption claims are indeed a plot to undermine the state government.

In making this call, Sabah UMNO Election Director Jeffery Nor Mohamed said this step is necessary to clear their names and refute the allegations.

“If you are convinced that these claims are a sabotage against the state government, then report it to the authorities. It is time to stop blaming the opposition,” he said in a statement today.

Jeffery, who also serves as the Putatan UMNO Chief, made these remarks in response to Datuk Masiung Banah’s recent statement that the dissemination of ‘Corrupt YBs’ video is part of an agenda to topple the state government.

Additionally, Jeffery raised concerns regarding the unresolved issues faced by residents of the Tanjung Aru Flats.

He also requested clarification from Masiung, who is the Chairman of the Housing and Urban Development Board (LPPB), on when these issues would be addressed so that residents can find alternative housing.

“The problems that are evident cannot be resolved; as the chairman of LPPB, Masiung must take responsibility for addressing the concerns of the Tanjung Aru Flats residents.

“We have allowed time for the basic infrastructure issues in Sabah to be resolved, yet they remain unaddressed. This is more beneficial than continuously denying various allegations.

“Reflect on your own position; you hold power, which certainly gives you an advantage. Therefore, focus on resolving the people’s issues rather than making accusations here and there,” he concluded.
