KOTA KINABALU: The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) has voiced strong opposition to external influences in Sabah’s political affairs.
LDP Vice President Sim Fui was responding to recent remarks by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi suggesting changes to the state government. Warning against external manipulation,
Sim expressed concerns about destabilising forces targeting the state. “Sabah will not be an experiment or test rat for anyone or any outsiders.
Sabahans are aiming for stability and resilient economic growth.
“We noted the Deputy Prime Minister’s statement on changing Sabah’s state government.
“However, we Sabahans will now be even more united in deciding our own state government,” he said in a statement.
Sim stressed the importance of autonomy for the people of Sabah.
He noted that Sabahans recognise the true colours of leaders who genuinely fight for the state.
“We want a state government that is decided by the Sabahan people and not by outsiders.
