TAMBUNAN: The Tambunan Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) Division is now under the leadership of Mr. Cyril Pauting Yansalang, who recently conducted the tri-annual general meeting at the Tambunan Sports Complex.
In his concluding remarks, Cyril expressed his unwavering commitment to the party, emphasising his resolve to serve despite any challenges that may arise.
“My dedication to PBRS is unwavering, through all circumstances. The entire PBRS Committee of Tambunan, along with our dedicated grassroots members, remain loyal to the party and Barisan Nasional (BN).
“This divisional meeting acts as a vital platform for party members to reaffirm their loyalty and devise strategies to fortify PBRS’s standing in the face of increasingly intricate political challenges,” he said.
He noted that although the division faced a crisis marked by a mass resignation of leaders and members prior to the 15th General Election, the party’s integrity remained intact.
Cyril highlighted that with the steadfast support and loyalty of its members, who continue to advocate for the party, PBRS Tambunan is experiencing a resurgence characterised by a robust fighting spirit.
The division is currently in an active recovery phase, regaining strength under the new leadership team for the 2024-2027 term.
He remarked that the Tri-Annual General Meeting demonstrated that the fighting spirit among PBRS Tambunan members has not diminished; rather, it has intensified in pursuit of the party’s future and the welfare of the state.
Additionally, Mr. Vincent Lee, the Vice President II of PBRS, who presided over the meeting, commended the unwavering determination of PBRS Tambunan members in their efforts to uphold the dignity of the people and ensure the party’s mission continues to thrive.
“PBRS Tambunan possesses unique strengths derived from the diverse backgrounds and steadfast spirit of its members,” he added.
