Salleh urges the people to embrace the spirit of National Day and Sabah Day

KOTA BELUD: Former Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak has called on the people to embrace the spirit of National Day and Sabah Day as a tribute to the rich history and culture of Sabah.

He emphasised that these dual celebrations play a crucial role in strengthening our identity as proud and united Malaysians.

Salleh, who is the Usukan assemblyman, highlighted the importance of unity among different ethnic groups as the foundation for the nation’s prosperity and stability.

Speaking at the launch of the Unity and Independence Spirit Program in Kampung Pirasan here today, Salleh urged the community to truly understand the significance of Independence Day, which represents the freedom and sovereignty fought for by our independence heroes.

He called on the younger generation to carry this spirit forward, ensuring that Malaysia continues to thrive as a sovereign nation.
