Sabah for Sabahans is just a political cry; it is meaningless if the leadership is not competent- Ronald Kiandee

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah issue does not lie in the party brand or political slogan, says Sabah Bersatu Chairman Datuk Dr. Ronald Kiandee.

“What Sabah really needs is leaders and a government capable of bringing about change and progress as desired by the people.

“In politics, we must be honest and speak the truth,” he said in his latest post on Facebook.

According to Ronald, the party slogan is just a political slogan and does not bring significant meaning to the state’s progress if the existing leadership is not competent.

“If a Sabah-based party is touted as the most suitable for Sabah, why, even though Sabah has been ruled by Sabah-based parties such as USNO, BERJAYA, PBS, and WARISAN for decades, is the state still far behind and plagued by basic infrastructure problems such as water, roads, lights, health facilities, schools, and much more?

As such, Ronald said that in the upcoming state election (PRN) expected to be held next year, BERSATU will contest under the Perikatan Nasional (PN) logo.
