KUDAT: Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) will contest in all state seats where there is a majority of Kadazandusun and Murut (KDM) voters in the upcoming state election (PRN).
In disclosing this, KDM President Datuk Peter Anthony also confirmed that the party will field candidates in all state seats within the Kota Marudu parliamentary constituency.
“The PRN can be held at any time. Other parties have already started moving. We (KDM) have yet to move.
“And today, I want to announce that KDM will contest in all state seats in the Kota Marudu parliamentary constituency, and we will also contest in all KDM seats in Sabah,” he said.
Peter made these remarks during his speech in conjunction with the Karamazan Kokotuan celebration at the PMRM Matunggong Hall today.
Also present was KDM Deputy President Datuk Wetrom Bahanda.
He also indicated that the KDM party will contest in the mixed seats of Pitas and Pintasan.
In light of this, Peter urged party supporters, especially at the grassroots level, to mobilise and further strengthen their preparations for the PRN.
He said the people of Sabah should be bold to make a change as the current state government is still ‘weak’ in addressing various issues affecting the people, including water problems, electricity, roads, and the economy.
